RICHMOND, Ky.--Freshman Andrew Aseltine fired rounds of 73 and 71 to sit in a tie for 16th place at even par 144 and spur the Miami University golf team to a fifth-place standing after two rounds at the Eastern Kentucky University Spring Intercollegiate on Friday afternoon.

Sophomore Ben Wood carded rounds of 75 and 71 to move into a tie for 27th place at two-over par 146, while sophomore Ben Bastel shot a 70 in the second round, the low-round for the RedHawks, after shooting 77 in the first round to move into a tie for 33rd place at three-over par 147.

Senior Joshua Dean is tied for 45th place at five-over par 149, while junior Connor Doherty is tied for 53rd place at seven-over par 151.

The RedHawks are just three strokes out of fourth place and six strokes out of third place heading into Saturday's final round.
